Williamsville High School’s 19th Year of Helping People in the Holidays

Contact Ministries is overwhelmed with the generosity and commitment of the students and staff of Williamsville High School.   Teachers Jo Ellen Walsh and Brian Houser led a huge drive along with several of the Williamsville High School student groups collecting money, food, toys, and coats for Contact Ministries Christmas Giveaway.

About a week before the event, students handed out an estimated 4,500 grocery sacks to local families and businesses in the Sherman / Williamsville area. The students were then responsible for going back out into their community and collecting those donations for this year's drive. Aprroximately 100 high school students participated in this year's event, collecting 6,365 pounds of food and clothing they personally delivered to Westminster Church before the giveaway.

The students also participated in a Penny Drive competition between classes, raising $4,000 in donations for Contact Ministries. Way to go Bullets!
